About two years ago my wife and I were looking for something to do on the weekend. Our search started with a scan of the local newspaper for festivals or outdoor activities in our community. But most of what we found were advertisements and promotions for various events of no interest to us. Then we sat down at the computer to see what the Internet had to offer. We found a couple websites with event listing, most were missing maps, good descriptions, and other helpful information. Nearly none of the sites included photos of the events to help us in making in a decision. That’s when the idea came for FestCal.com.

Festival Calendar, or FestCal for short, is your one stop location for outdoor events near you. We developed the site with the user in mind. What information do you need when deciding what to do with your valuable entertainment time? Helpful descriptions explaining what is taking place, photos giving a feel for event, cost information to help you budget, and maps to get you there. We also include links to the event websites and other helpful information.

FestCal.com covers events in the southeast United States.  This includes all nine states on the map to the right.
