FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a way to view all the upcoming events on one page? Glad you asked…check out the Events List page.

Is there a separate information page for every event on the Events List? No, some events are only included on the Events List.  This may occur for a number of reasons including: we have very limited information about the event or we simply did not have time to create a separate event page.

What kinds of events will I find on FestCal.com? FestCal publishes information about festive events in the southeastern United States.  This can include carnivals, music festivals, craft fairs, car shows, chili cookoffs, air shows and other fun events.  Event should primarily takes place outdoors, however, some indoor events are accepted, depending on the nature of the festival.

What events will I not find on FestCal.com? We don’t publish sports competitions, business expos, permanent flea markets, or most indoor events.  Exceptions are only made if the event is unique in nature.  For example, a one-time community yard sale can be included, but Chattanooga Flea Market can not be included.  (Okay, I did give them a link.)  If you have an event you want listed, but aren’t sure if it qualifies, send me an email and find out.

What states are included on your website? Events listed on our website take place in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

Are there plans to events from others states in the future? We have no specific plans to expand, but we’ve not ruled this out.

EVENT HOST QUESTIONS:

How do I get my event included on FestCal.com? Just email us the event information, and, if possible, a photo or two.  Include your name and contact information in case we have questions about the event.  That’s all.

How much does it cost to include our event? Nothing!  It’s free.

No really, how much does it cost? NOTHING.  Your event page, with photo, event information, website link and map is absolutely free.  Now, if you want to promote your event with advertising, a video or inclusion as a featured event on our home page, we charge a small fee.  For advertising information, click here.

How soon should I tell you about the event? We want to know about your event as soon as possible, but there is no need to send information more than a year in advance.  On the other hand, if you wait too long, we won’t have time to get the word out.  So, try to get information to us at least two months before your event.  Note: We can not publish your event with less than two weeks notice.

How can I get a answer to a question that is not listed here? Leave a comment below or send an email.  We will try to answer all questions quickly.  And no…we don’t know the meaning of life…but we’re searching.
